the silky strains of sonnet and the hilarious antics of comedian keith stubbs will come together for two electric nights at lagoon—friday july 17th and saturday july 18th at 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. for four rare live unplugged performances.

sonnet, the sought-after singer/songwriter behind the hit song, “you’re so good for me” on lagoon’s 2009 advertising campaign (www.sonnetmusic.com) and keith stubbs renowned comedian and radio dj (www.keithstubbs.com), met for the first time back in june when sonnet appeared live in-studio during stubbs’s popular morning show on 101.5 the eagle.

stubbs was so taken by sonnet and the overwhelming response that he had experienced from calls and e-mails to his show inquiring about the song on the lagoon commercials, that he made a plea over the air for lagoon to satiate the public’s interest in the performer with a live performance.

stubbs’s plea was heard by lagoon, and on july 17th sonnet’s live performances on the game time arcade stage (known formerly as the patio gardens) will mark the first live performances at lagoon, by a sought-after singer, since the early 70s.
